Japanese film director Hirokazu Koreeda was born on June 6, 1962 in Tokyo. He is perhaps best known in the West for Nobody Knows (2004), Hana: The Tale of a Reluctant Samurai (2006), Still Walking (2008), and I Wish (2011). My personal favorite is Air Doll (2009), which stars BAE Doona. (For my review of Air Doll, click here.)
