Obayashi retrospective begins tonight
Over the next three weeks, Japan Society Film dives into the rich filmography and imagination of criminally overlooked director Nobuhiko Obayashi. Starting tonight with a screening of his cult classic House (aka Hausu) with Obayashi in attendance, Nobuhiko Obayashi: A Retrospective presents ten films and one short from a remarkable career that has spanned 50 years–and is still going strong. On Saturday join an in-depth conversation with the director covering his entire career, Nobuhiko Obayashi: A Conversation.
