From the
WEDDING PALACE page on Facebook:
"
Wedding Palace," finishing up its seventh week in Hawaii theaters, is now one of the most successful Korean genre films theatrically released in the islands. The film just opened Friday at Maui's Kaahumanu Consolidated and will open in Hilo on Nov. 29. Already it has made more than $40,000 in tickets sales and is on mark to hit $50,000 in the coming weeks. Said director Christine Yoo, "Since '
Wedding Palace' was inspired by my family in Hawaii, I'm thrilled that the movie has been a success there! The movie was recently picked up by a major Hollywood studio for cable VOD (video on demand) and no doubt, the success in the aloha state helped to make this happen."
