I feel confident in saying that she is best known in the United States for her roles in the Female Convict Scorpion (a.k.a. Female Prisoner Scorpion) series (which began in 1972), in Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter (1970), and in the two Lady Snowblood movies (1973 and 1974).

Kaji was one of the actresses featured in Japan Society's film series Mad, Bad... & Dangerous to Know: Three Untamed Beauties of Japanese Cinema, which ran from March 31-April 18, 2010. The other two were Ayako Wakao and Mariko Okada.
