Satoshi Yamamoto is the artist for VIZ Media’s POKÉMON ADVENTURES, which he began working on in 2001, starting with Volume 10. Yamamoto launched his manga career in 1993 with the horror-action title, Kimen Senshi, which ran in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, followed by the series, Kazeno Denshosha. He is currently working on the 12th and 13th story arcs of the POKÉMON ADVENTURES series, POKÉMON X•Y and POKÉMON OMEGA RUBY & ALPHA SAPPHIRE.

Hidenori Kusaka is the writer for VIZ Media’s POKÉMON ADVENTURES. Running continuously for over twenty years, POKÉMON ADVENTURES is the only manga series to completely cover all the Pokémon games and has become one of the most popular series of all time. Kusaka is currently working on the 12th and 13th story arcs, POKÉMON X•Y and POKÉMON OMEGA RUBY & ALPHA SAPPHIRE. VIZ Media has announced that it will welcome the creators of the POKÉMON ADVENTURES manga (graphic novel) series—Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto—for a very special, first-ever professional appearance at the 2016 Comic-Con International. POKÉMON ADVENTURES is published in English exclusively by VIZ Media.

Comic-Con International is one of the nation’s largest comic book, science fiction and pop culture events, and will take place July 20th–24th at the San Diego Convention Center, in San Diego, CA. Hidenori Kusaka (left) and Satoshi Yamamoto (right) are scheduled to make a series of appearances throughout Comic-Con. Satoshi Yamamoto began drawing VIZ Media’s POKÉMON ADVENTURES in 2001, starting with volume 10. Yamamoto’s favorite manga creators/artists include Fujiko Fujio (Doraemon), Yukinobu Hoshino (2001 Nights), and Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira). He loves films, monsters, mysteries, punk rock music, and livin’ the good life. He uses the Pokémon Swalot as his artist portrait.

VIZ Media has announced new releases in support of POKÉMON THE MOVIE: DIANCIE AND THE COCOON OF DESTRUCTION, the first feature film of the new POKÉMON XY property.

Set for publication under the company’s Perfect Square imprint, the official manga adaptation of POKÉMON THE MOVIE: DIANCIE AND THE COCOON OF DESTRUCTION is set to debut in-print today, February 3rd. VIZ Media also launches the official home media release of POKÉMON THE MOVIE: DIANCIE AND THE COCOON OF DESTRUCTION on DVD on February 17th.

The DVD edition of POKÉMON THE MOVIE: DIANCIE AND THE COCOON OF DESTRUCTION is rated ‘TV-Y7,’ for viewers ages 7 and older, and will carry an MSRP of $19.97 U.S. / $24.98 CAN. The official manga edition is rated ‘A’ for All Ages and will carry a print MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN.
