Dalai Lama Renaissance Directed by Khashyar Dravich

The documentary film Dalai Lama Renaissance will be screened at the Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, October 1st and Wednesday, Ocotber 15th at 7:30 pm both dates.
At the cusp of the new Millennium, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism invited 40 of the West's foremost thinkers to his residence in the Himalayan mountains of northern India to discuss the world's problems and how they can be solved. An 18 person, 5 camera film crew documented what transpired.
The film includes music by Tibetan musicisans, as wells as sitarist Roop Verma, a student of Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan. It is narrated by actor Harrison Ford.
