Kino Lober, Inc. recently announced that it will be releasing Poetry on February 11, 2011. It opens in New York at the Lincoln Plaza and Quad Cinemas.
In advance of the theatrical release, The Korea Society will be presenting a special pre-release screening on Sunday, January 23rd at 4:00 PM. This will take place at The Museum of the Moving Image, 35th Ave. at 37th St., Astoria, NY (N or Q Train to 36th Ave.). For info about this event, which will be one of the first events to occur after The Museum of the Moving Image reopens following a multi-year closing for renovation and expansion, click here.
In the coming weeks, I'll have more to say about this powerful and touching movie from one of the finest directors in world cinema. In the meanwhile you can review the post I wrote about Poetry when it showed at last fall's New York Film Festival by clicking here, and view the film's trailer on YouTube by clicking here.
