ACF 1645: HEADSHOT available today in multiple formats

Headshot cover art for the Blu-ray release

Pen-ek Ratanaruang's Thai-noir Headshot becomes available today in multiple formats. My very positive review (3.5 out of 4 stars) can be found here.

The film is available from Kino Lorber in both the Blu-ray and DVD formats. The Blu-ray carries an SRP of $34.95; the DVD's SRP is $29.95. Two soundtracks are featured: the original Thai soundtrack with English subtitles, as well as a dubbed English audio track. Extras include the trailer and a stills gallery.

Headshot is also available on iTunes and other online VOD (Video On Demand) channels.

Dr. G's prescription for you is: Go out and get this great movie! Right now!

Thank you for the info, DR. Stan! Some have referred to Headshot as a “Buddhist Noir” and that was enough to pique my interest. A few of my DISH coworkers and I started a little foreign film club, and Headshot looks like it will be a good movie to begin with. I just added it to the top of my Blockbuster @Home rental queue, and I should have it in a couple of days; just in time for our first gathering. Thanks for the prescription!

  2. You're most welcome. Though I didn't particularly get into it in my review, there certainly is an element of "Buddhist noir" in the film. One certainly could have an intriguing discussion about how Tul's life choices affected his fate. Hope you enjoyed the film.
