In a rural area in North Korea,
little Jong-Soo dreams of visiting Pyongyang and meeting Kim Jong-Il.
But when his dreams of adventure are dashed, he finds himself
disheartened, wandering the woods. There, under a tree, he discovers a
balloon carrying a toy robot – a Christmas gift from children in South
Korea. Soon, the robot has made Jong-Soo so popular that other children
in town begin offering him gifts for just a few short moments of
playtime with the toy. But just as Jong-Soo realizes what the robot
can do for him and his family, he discovers that another group of
children in his town will do anything to make the robot their own.
