Sentai Filmworks announces acquisition of Otomo's SHORT PEACE
Sentai Filmworks has announced its newest acquisition: Short Peace. Curated by the legendary Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, Steamboy), Short Peace is an omnibus collection of four anime shorts, including the 86th Academy Award® nominated Best Animated Short Film Possessions, directed by Shuhei Morita (Coicent, Freedom).
Short Peace is the first film release in over nine years from Otomo, whose long list of prestigious accolades includes a Purple Medal of Honor from the Japanese government, Career Achievement honors at the Annie Awards, and an induction into the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards Hall of Fame.
Short Peace will have a nationwide theatrical release via Eleven Arts. It will also be available soon through select digital outlets and on bilingual Blu-ray & DVD.
