Sentai Filmworks announces acquisition of LOCODOL
Sentai Filmworks has announced its latest acquisition, Locodol. This high school comedy series is adapted from the four panel comedy manga by original creator Kotaro Kosugi and tells the story of Nanako Usami, who is convinced by her uncle to form a local idol group, or “locodol” for short. Along with her upperclassman, Yukari Kohinata, and friends Yui and Mirai, they form “Nagarekawa Girls” to promote the town and its businesses.
Munenori Nawa directed the series, with Yuniko Ayana providing series composition. Music was handled by Tomoki Hasegawa and character designs were provided by Yumi Shimizu. Animation production was done by feel., known for their work on My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! and Outbreak Company.
Locodol is now available through select digital outlets, with a home video release to follow.
