Donnie Yen was born on July 27, 1963 in Canton, China. His birth-name is Zhen Zidan. He is currently one of Hong Kong's most active action stars, quite probably the most active. He has starred in many great films, including Wing Chun (1994), Seven Swords and Kill Zone - S.P.L. (both 2005), Painted Skin and Ip Man (both 2008), and Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grandmaster (2010), to name but a few. He is slated to star in Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny, which is currently in pre-production and is slated to have a 2014 release date.
