Bolo Yeung was born on July 3, 1946 in Canton, China. He began training in the martial arts at age ten, and also became interested in bodybuilding. He was the Mr. Hong Kong bodybuilding champion for ten years, resulting in him becoming known as The Chinese Hercules.
Most Westerners probably first encountered Bolo in Enter the Dragon (1973). The year before that, he had appeared in Chang-hwa Jeong's classic Five Fingers of Death. In 1988 he fought Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport; he also was in Van Damme's Double Impact (1991). Bolo's IMDb homepage currently lists a total of 107 acting credits.
